Nerikomi pottery is an art technique in which different colored clays are layered, then sliced like a sushi roll to reveal beautiful patterns on the surface. Unlike drawings, the unique curves in the designs are slightly different in each work. Unexpected patterns may emerge depending on how the clay is combined, but I find joy in the serendipity.
