About

Six Yeps spread around the world.

I never get tired of the fact that nerikomi pottery does not turn out completely as I imagine it. Building a pattern in three dimensions and then slicing it into a flat surface to create the pattern is a different kind of fun that only clay can offer, different from painting.
I appreciate the squishy patterns that are never the same, and I enjoy looking at them. I hope that people who pick up my work will also feel this.

I started kneading because I wanted to make ceramics with materials that are not specific to a particular place because I am often transferred to another place.
